How Leaving My Mother Made Mother’s Day Happy

Today is Mother’s Day and I don’t have a mother and I’m not a mother but both of those statements are only kind of true. I have a mother and I don’t have human children, but I have cats that feel like my own offspring, and so on this day in history, partially motherless and partially a mother, I’m content.
